Pittsfield Parent Connection to Examine PES’s School Community Index Survey Results on Monday, September 17

Last April, during Parent Teacher Conferences 105 parents, representing 51% of PES students, took the School Community Index Survey. The survey was commissioned by the Pittsfield Parent Connection. Members of the group had their first look at the survey results at their meeting last May. They will be looking at the PES survey data in more detail on September 17, from 6:00-7:30 in the PMHS Media Center. Interested PES parents or community members are invited to the open meeting. Laura Bush Foundation Awards PES Library $5,000

PES was awarded a $5,000 Grant from the Laura Bush Foundation.  Former First Lady Laura Bush worked as a public school librarian in Texas, and after leaving the White House set up the LBF to support urban and rural libraries throughout the 50 states.

PES is the only NH library to be awarded the grant.  Money will go to purchase books and periodicals.  Thanks to Susan Kinney for her work in writing the grant.
