So far the parents of 142 PES students have taken the School-Community Index Surveys.  We thank all parents who have taken the survey, and we urge any parent who has yet to do so, to give the school a call, and we’ll send you a link or a paper copy of the survey.  We want the feedback from as many parents as possible.  Our raffle winners, drawn on Monday, are Heidi Asdot ($100 Visa gift card) and Denise Grant ($50 Visa gift card)

Serious young writers in grades 4-6 are invited to join Thinking Ink, a young writers group that meets regularly at the Chichester Library.  The group is hosted by Mr. Jimmy Pappas, a writer, teacher, and PES staff member.  The group often focuses on poetry, but offers supportive critiques on all kinds of writing.  If you are a young writer or if you know any students who are serious about writing call the PES office and we’ll put you in touch with Mr. Pappas.

The Concord Regional Visiting Nurses Association’s “Passion for Caring” is Wed., May 9 from 5:30-8:00 pm hosted by Company C in Concord.  Proceeds from this event benefit CRVNA’s Hospice Program.  Enjoy hors d’oeuvres and refreshments, entertainment by the Jazz Dogs, a raffle and silent auction inside the spacious and comfortable Company C showroom.   Reservations are $50 per person.  Please call 224-4093, ext 5807 to register.

The Greater Pittsfield Chamber of Commerce Town Wide Yardsale registration forms are now available at the Pittsfield Town Hall, Post Office, Northway Bank and Jiffers Café or visit the Chamber’s website, www.pittsfieldchamber.org.
