Healthy Snacks: Fresh and Popular

By PES

PES Students in grades 1-6 have a snack time each morning. This year they will always have a healthy —and free!—option.

Foods Service Director, Lori Bourgeois, wrote a grant to bring the free fruits and vegetables to PES all year.

The fruits and vegetables have been highly popular with students. They include packaged apple slices, pineapple slices, baby carrots with dressing, and bananas.

Good food makes for better learners. We are grateful to Mrs. Bourgeois for her efforts in bringing tasty and healthy food to our students.
