Pittsfield Elementary School Summer Programming!
The following programs will be running Monday-Thursday; July 8th to August 8th; 8:30-11 :30
For students entering K-6th grade:
Our library will be a busy place this summer. Ms. Carver will open the library for students to browse for new books and to participate in literacy activities. Students will also be able to come in and borrow books that next year’s teacher has recommended!
While the library is open there will also be a chance to use computers to access educational websites like BrainPop and BrainPop Jr. and Arcademic Skill builder.
We will also have our District Tech Integrator, Mrs. Foss offering iPad sessions this summer in the library. Students will be able to review and explore content through apps such as Book Creator, Educreations, Skitch, Everyday Math Games, & and more! Session will run: 8:30-9:15; 9:30-10:00; 10:00-11 :00

Kids on the Run
Kids on the Run is back! It will be facilitated by Ms. Wilson, Mrs. Hinkley and Mr. Curtin. Join Kids on the Run and set goals, calculate distances that have been run, and journal about your experience! This activity is open to students entering 4th grade and older. Kids will run 10-11 :30 on Tuesdays and Thursdays, July 8 -August8.
Students will be able to practice oral speaking skills while they interact and problem solve with peers. On Mondays and Wednesdays Miss Wilson and Mrs. Bass will take students outside to learn through play! There will be two sessions. Students entering 4th grade and up will play 9:15-10 Mondays and Wednesdays. Students entering 2nd or 3rd grade will play 10:45-11:30 on Mondays and Wednesdays, July 8 – August 8.
Students will reinforce their reading and measurement skills as they create works of art. Ms. Stewart will be offering 2 sessions. One will be for students going into grades 3 & 4 and run from 9:15-10, Mon.- Thurs., July 8 – August 8. We will also be looking for some older student volunteers. There will be another session for students going into 5th and 6th grades from 10-11:30 on Mondays and Wednesdays, July 8 -August8.
Do you enjoy acting? Do you have a great puppet voice? Do you love bringing poetry to life? Join Miss Allen throughout the summer for drama class.

Thursday performances are a success.
We will run two sessions day to chose from: 8:30-9:30 and 10:00-11 :00 Monday through Thursday.
All of these programs will be open to all students. If you child is signing up for multiple programs they can stay at school for the morning. Home base in between programs will be the library. This is contingent on appropriate behavior at programming.
There will also be free breakfast (starting at 8) and lunch (starting at 11:30) at the school Monday to Friday!
