A wooden, handcrafted Victorian Doll House is being raffled off at the Clothes Closet. This project was started by a craftsperson and donated to the Clothes Closet - please stop in and purchase some tickets.

The Pittsfield Food Pantry will again participate in the annual Feinstein Foundation One Million Dollar Give Away to food pantries across the nation. The appeal is from March 1 through April 30 and is for both monetary and food donations. Each item that comes into the pantry is counted and the grant amount is based on the number of items collected. Please donate!

Pittsfield Youth Baseball/Softball is raffling four (4) front-row seats to a Red Sox vs.Yankees game. Tickets are available at Bell Brothers (1 Depot St., Pittsfield) and are $5 each or five (5) for $20. All proceeds support quality baseball and softball experiences for the boys and girls of Pittsfield. The game is Saturday, August 2nd at 4:05. The Drawing is June 26th.

On Easter Sunday, April 20 at 7 a.m., the customary Sunrise Service will be held in the Sanctuary of First Congregational Church with breakfast immediately following in the Vestry. The traditional Easter worship service will commence at 10:00 a.m. with music by the Chancel Choir and JuBellation. Parking and wheelchair accessible entry are available at rear of church. The Pittsfield Players will be hosting a play reading at the Scenic Theatre of Alan Ayckbourn's "Living Together."
The play reading is a casual reading of the script that takes place upstairs at the Scenic Theatre on Sunday, April 27 at 6:30 PM.
Any one who is interested in reading this play in an informal setting is welcome to join us at the Scenic on April 27 at 6:30 upstairs in the green room. You are welcome to bring a snack and are no way obligated to perform or audition after the reading.

Auditions for "Living Together" will be held May 18 and 19 at the Scenic Theatre.
You need not be a member of the Pittsfield Players and we encourage you all to attend whether you are a seasoned veteran or have never done theatre before. You are also welcome to come and listen. If you have any questions please feel free to reach Meggin at 736-8073.

Foss Family Scholorship applicaions are available. All PMHS graduates extending their education beyond high school may apply for a scholarship to pursue a two-year or four-year degree or technical/trade school education. The Suncook Valley Area Lions Club (serving Pittsfield/Barnstead) will meet on Mon., April 21 at 6pm at Jitters Café, Main Street. The Lions Club is requesting donations of gently used items for their yardsale. Please contact Ed Vien at 731-9321 to arrange for drop off/pick up.

The Greater Pittsfield Chamber of Commerce will hold their monthly meeting on Mon, April 21 at the Community Center, lower level.

The Pittsfield Circle of Home and Family group will meet on Thursday, April 24 at 7pm at the Community Center, lower level.

The Pittsfield Conservation Commission will meet on Thursday, April 24 at 7pm at the Town Hall.

The Town Clerk’s Office is now processing boat registrations.

There is a bake sale fundraiser on Thursday, April 24th, 10AM-2PM at the Pittsfield Area Senior Center (Community Center, lower level) to help support the March for Meals on Wheels. Come out and buy some tasty treats.

The Read, Meet, Talk Book Club will meet on Tuesday April 22, 10:30 AM at the Senior Center. The book being discussed is
The Language of Flowers by Vanessa Diffenbaugh.

The Greater Pittsfield Chamber of Commerce will be holding a Multitown Yard Sale this year and any address in their seven member towns is welcome to join in. Participants can register by mail by sending in the registration form (visit the Chamber website www.pittsfieldchamber.org) or by using the registration form in the Suncook Valley Sun. Please mail to be received by May 24th latest. Early registrations appreciated! Registration fees are $5 for individuals, $10 for Group locations, and no fee for non-profits raising funds.
