The Rotary Club
will meet on Wed., Feb. 1 at 6:15pm at the Community Center,
lower level.
The Budget Committee
will hold a public hearing to review the School and
Municipal budgets on Wed., Feb. 1 at 7pm at the PMHS Lecture
Hall. If inclement weather forces the postponement of the
public hearing, it will be rescheduled to Sat., Feb. 4 at
9:00am at PES Gym. Your input is needed on the budgets –
plan to attend the meeting.
Pizza Bowl
2012 will be held on Sunday, Jan 29 from noon – 2pm at St.
Joseph’s Parish Hall, 844 First NH Turnpike, Northwood. $10
per person and children under 5 are free. Tickets available
through Knights of Columbus members, after all masses at the
Northwood and Pittsfield churches and by calling 942-7689.
The Suncook Valley Lions Club will
hold their monthly meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 31 at 6pm at
Jitters Café.
Beginning January 31st appointments
for Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) will be available
through the Pittsfield Area Senior Center.
Tax preparation will take place on Tuesdays from 10:00am to
1:00pm and evening sessions will be held on Wednesdays from
6:00-9:00pm. Tax preparation will take place at the
Pittsfield Youth Workshop, located in the Masonic Hall on
Park Street. Taxpayers of all ages, with low and moderate
incomes (not to include the self- employed) can work with
IRS certified tax preparers who will help you get all of the
credits and deductions you are eligible for – and with
direct deposit, a refund can be in your bank account within
14 days. VITA counselors will prepare and e-file your tax
return free of charge. If you would like to sign for an
appointment please call the Senior Center at 435-8482.
Declarations of Candidacy for School
District officers and Town office positions will be accepted
at the office of the Town Clerk, 85 Main Street through
Friday, Feb. 3 at 5pm.
The American Legion
Peterson Cram Post #75 will hold their monthly
meeting on Monday., Feb. 6 at 7:30pm at Post Commander
Vaughan’s home, 50 Deer Meadow Rd. For more information,

The
Pittsfield PTO is producing a fundraiser
cookbook with the school community’s favorite recipes.
Recipes are being collected from student’s families,
teachers and staff. The PTO is soliciting monetary donations
from the public to help defray the cost of the cookbook. In
return for the donation, an advertisement will be placed
inside the cookbook. If you have any questions or if you
