The Josiah Carpenter Library Summer Reading Program - Fizz, Boom, Pop - will meet on Thursday, Aug. 14 at Dustin Park from 10-11am (Pre-school - First Grade) and 11-noon (second - fifth grade). The theme is It's Alive - Critters, animal tracks, bugs and insects. For more information, call 435-8406.

The Pittsfield Players are holding Open Auditions for "South Pacific" on Sunday, Aug. 17 at 7pm and Monday, Aug. 18 at 7pm at the Scenic Theatre. For more information, call Directory Maye Hart at 736-9563.

Thank you to the Suncook Valley Rotary Club and to all the other groups involved in making Balloon Rally a great success.

TOPS (Taking Off Pounds Sensibly) meetings are held each Tuesday at 5:30pm at Berakah on Fairview Rd for weigh in and at 6:30pm for the meeting. For more information, contact Janis White at 491-5532 or Claire Coll at 435-7211.

The regular 10am worship services at the First Congregational Church, 24 Main Street will be held temporarily at the Pittsfield Community Center, lower level, 74 Main Street for Sundays Aug 17 and 24. This short term change of location is due to the installation of new carpet and some repair work to the church sanctuary.

The Parks and Recreation committee will meet on Monday, Aug. 11 at 6:15pm at the Town Hall.

Pittsfield Listens Community Connection Series will be held on Thursday, Aug. 21- dinner and a movie at 6:15pm at Pittsfield Youth Workshop, 5 Park Street, Please RSVP at 312-6980 or

The PMHS Booster Club will meet on Tuesday, Aug. 12 at 6:30pm at the High School media center.
