The Josiah Carpenter Library Summer Reading Program - Fizz, Boom, Pop - will meet on Thursday, Aug. 7 at Josiah Carpenter Library from 10-11am (Pre-school - First Grade) and 11-noon (second - fifth grade). The theme is Maker Spacers, Legos Stamping and more. For more information, call 435-8406.

The Pittsfield Players are holding Open Auditions for "South Pacific" on Sunday, Aug. 17 at 7pm and Monday, Aug. 18 at 7pm at the Scenic Theatre. For more information, call Directory Maye Hart at 736-9563.

The American Legion Peterson Cram Post 75 will hold their monthly meeting on Mon. Aug. 4 at 7:30pm at the Post Home, Loudon Rd. For more information, please contact Dan Ward at 496-0848.

The Suncook Valley Rotary Club will meet on Wed, Aug. 6 at 6pm at the Community Center, lower level.

The Pittsfield Police Association will host National Night Out - the Nation's celebration to keep kids safe and away from drugs and crime - on Tuesday, Aug. 5 from 6-8pm at Drake Field. There will be a car show, dunk tank, face painting, hay rides, bike rodeo, bounce house, K-9 demo, visit from McGruff the Crime dog, touch-a-truck with the fire dept and ambulance as well as various organizations distributing information. There will also be food. For more info, please call 435-7535 and ask for Officer Darrah or Meggin Dail.

The Infant Toddler Diaper Pantry will be open Tuesday Aug. 5 from 9-11am at the First Congregational Church, 24 Main Street. Young families are given supplemental diapers and wipes. Everyone is welcome. Please use the Chestnut St. entrance.

TOPS (Taking Off Pounds Sensibly) meetings are held each Tuesday at 5:30pm on Fairview Rd for weigh in and at 6:30pm for the meeting. For more information, contact Janis White at 491-5532 or Claire Coll at 435-7211.

The regular 10am worship services at the First Congregational Church, 24 Main Street will be held temporarily at the Pittsfield Community Center, lower level, 74 Main Street for Sundays Aug 17 and 24. This short term change of location is due to the installation of new carpet and some repair work to the church sanctuary.
