The Victory Workers 4-H Club will meet on Monday, Nov. 3 at 6:45pm at the Community Center.

The PMHS Booster Club will meet on Monday, Nov. 3 at 6:30pm at the PMHS Media Center.

The Suncook Valley Rotary Club sponsored Penny Sale will be held on Sat, Nov. 8 at 7pm at PMHS Gym.

The Pittsfield Players present "South Pacific" on Nov. 7, 8, 14 and 15 at 7:30pm and Sun, Nov. 9 at 2pm. Doors open 1 hour prior to performances for refreshments and raffles. Tickets are $17 and are available at or call 435-8852 to reserve or at the box office the afternoon or evening of performances.

The Pittsfield Secret Santa Program, coordinated by the Pittsfield Fire Dept and Ambulance Service, is asking for donation of new, unwrapped toys or clothing for all ages. Monetary donations are also appreciated. They would like to have all donations by Nov. 15. Please contact Kris Ahearn at the Fire Station at 435-6807 to coordinate drop off times. Pittsfield Listens sponsored Pittsfield Community Impact Award nominations are being accepted until Nov. 20. The Impact Awards recognize individuals, businesses, groups and organizations who have made a positive impact in Pittsfield in 2014. Visit to download a nomination form.

The Friends of Josiah Carpenter Library are taking orders now through Nov. 5 as part of their Annual Poinsettia Sale. You may pick up an order form at the library during regular business hours, visit their table on Election Day, Nov 4, at Town Hall, or go to the library’s website to download an order form.

Voting for the 2014 State General Election will be held Tuesday, November 4, 2014 from 7:00am – 7:00pm at the Town Hall, 85 Main Street.

The Suncook Valley Area Lions Club (serving Pittsfield and Barnstead) is extending an open invitation to anyone interested in joining our Club to join us on Mon., Nov. 10 at 6pm at Jitters Café. Our Club is expressing its appreciation to ALL Military Personnel for the sacrifices they have made to preserve our freedom. This appreciation will be in the form of waiving the initial fee and the Club will pick up their dues up to July 1, 2015 if they join on Nov. 10. Light refreshments will be served. Please consider joining us to find out what our Lions Club is up to.

An "All You Can Eat" Italian buffet of lasagna, manicotti, stuffed shells, ribs, buttermilk biscuits, veggie and dessert to benefit the Floral Park Fence Fund will be held on Friday, Nov. 7 from 4-8pm at Jitters Café. Cost is $11.95 per person (beverages are an additional cost) and BYOB.

The 5th Annual Comedy Show is Sat, Nov 22 at 7:30 PM at the Dell Lea Country Club. Doors will open at 6:30pm for refreshments. Tickets are $15 and all proceeds go to the Pittsfield Police Association. Tickets can be purchased at the police station or by contacting Jay Darrah at 435-6701. The show is for 21+.

The Concord Regional Visiting Nurse Association is offering a free presentation “Managing Your Medications” on Tuesday, November 4 from 10 - 11 a.m. at Pittsfield Senior Center. Discover effective strategies to manage your medicines, how to store medicines safely, and the proper ways to dispose of them.
